Brooke went to her first "Official" Prom this weekend. I say first "Official" because last year she was in student government and had to go to Prom to work. She still got all dressed up for it. But this one was the real deal. A cute date and the works!
It is amazing all the things a girl had to do to look AMAZING!!! Search hours and hours for the perfect MODEST dress. A trip to the salon for nails. Wax the eye brows and paint the toe nails. A trip to the flower shop for a boutonniere. Shower - shave the legs. Another trip to the salon for a killer hair up do! Jewelry, hair accessories. Did I forget anything? yep - SHOES and a cute purse to match!
She looked so AMAZING!!!! I am so proud of her!
Her flower in her hair was thrown together at the last minute. With her hair almost as dark as her dress, she needed a little color in her hair. So I quickly took some ribbon from my scrapbook table, two Creative Memories paper flowers, two staples, a little needle and tread, a bobby pin, an one of Sami's stud earrings and ta daa- the perfect hair accessory. Brooke liked it so much, she wore it to school today!
